Daily Prompt: Perfection

I already knew he was perfect.

But the fact that he continues to amaze with

his unselfish acts of kindness just baffles me

because we are of the same cloth.

Or we were…. But at some point though, the grain of his fabric

has become so much more pure and defined.

Not sure  if it is due to the clarity of his convictions

or the determination of his soul to be a way-maker.

But regardless, he has become everything to everyone.

A retired soldier, he still keeps the cadence of an army brigade

and the  oversight of a Battalion Commander on the verge of war.

And yet, the fact that his knees still knock

when he speaks of his love for his mother

only proves that he is human, and he is my brother.
